Greetings to All,
Despite the late arrival of winter this year, the 2009/2010 season is now in full swing. I would like to welcome our returning and new members and wish them all the best for the upcoming year.
This season is special. 2010 is not only the Olympic year but it marks 100th Anniversary of the formation of the original Club. We started the centennial celebration last October and continue activities that will promote the sport of skiing and Camp Fortune throughout 2010. Next year is also the 50th Anniversary of the Olympic gold medal won by our alumni, Anne Heggtveit in Squaw Valley, and we hope to celebrate this together with her during junior races in late February.
And we already are creating the next chapter in history. With support from our sponsors and many members, professional leadership of our coaches, we aim that every one of our athletes achieves their potential. So for the 2010, we wish all our athletes a safe and successful season. Best wishes to all our members, coaches and sponsors and their families.
Happy Holidays and New Year
