The 2010 Defi de Carnival took place on the first week-end of February at Le Relais. The event brought together the best 6-10 years old from eastern Canada and United States for two days of competition; Giant Slalom on Saturday Parallel Slalom on Sunday. As in the past a good time has been reported and our athletes posted excellent results! Amond I2 (9-10 year old) girls Jillian Lynott and Alta Lashley shared second place with Roxanne Fortin from Le Relais. All three girls accumulated 1000 points. Carolanne Baran came 8th and Nicole Clarke 10th overall. In Parallel Slalom, Camp Fortune swept the podium for the second year in a row with Jillian Lynott 1st, Alta Lashley 2nd and Carolanne Baran 3rd with Nicole Clarke 9th and Florence Leduc 15th. For I2 Boys in Parallel Slalom, Hunter Watson came in 12th and Tarik Hamrouni 13th. Watson Hunter was 14th and Tarik Hamrouni 23th in very strong I2 boys field. Among I1 (7-8 year old) girls Charlotte Leduc came 2nd overall and Rebecca Olsen 9th overall. Among I0 (5-6 year old): Catherine Olsen - Parallel Slalom 10th, Overall 10th. Congratulations to our I2 friends from Mont Ste-Marie and Vorlage ; Emile Bernier MSM was second overall, Damon Kral Vorlage third and Zachary Reynolds MSM sixth. Complete results |
